Introducing Archer.

Archer MacLean's Archer MacLean.
By Rodentia

Hello American chums. This is London calling from the United States of BritishLand. We have been made aware of the confuselment you guys are in over the release of Mercury on the PSP. “Archer Maclean?” we hear you twang, “who in the name of Christian fundamentalism is he?”

Much supposition and conjecture is abound it would seem, and yes, you are right, he did do some Billiards game ages ago on President Jack Tramiel’s Commodore Amiga.

Well, as Mr. Maclean is part of the historical establishment of the British Gaming Scene, we see it as our responsibility to fully enlighten a few minds on just who this great man is.

Here’s our quick-start guide to Archer Maclean, the man, the myth, the legend.

Archer Fact 1 - Archer Maclean discovered Fluoride.

Archer Fact 2 - Archer's blog has been serialised on Radio 4 for the last 40 years as the popular show 'I'm sorry, I haven't a clue'

Archer Fact 3 If Archer Maclean is offered a cup of Tea, his trousers fall down.

Archer Fact 4 - Archer's svengali-like brother, Don MacLean, presented TV's seventies race-fest The Black and White Minstrel Show. Archer's mum halted production of Jimmy White's Blacked Up Snooker before it was too late.

The Kirk Stevens Appreciation Society warm up for their ill-advised
Strictly Come Dancing routine.

Archer Fact 5 - Archer Maclean insisted that his mother change her name to Archer Maclean's Mum.

Archer Fact 6 - Archer Maclean regularly runs in marathons with a comedy ostrich in homage to the arcade game 'Joust'

Archer Fact 7 – If Archer remains stationary for more than two minutes he is surrounded by flies.

Archer Fact 8 – Archer Maclean doesn’t like it if you drive on his lawn. Trust us on that one.

Archer Fact 9 – Archer Maclean is clinically Snooker Loopy. He and his best mate Jimmy White own Ferraris for every colour of snooker ball. You’ll often find Archer’s pink machine nestled against Jimmy’s brown bumper in the car park at night.

Archer Fact 10 Archer Maclean is legally bound to use the Amiga font until the year 2525.
